The Obama administration earlier this week released its proposed budget for the 2011 fiscal year which starts Oct. 1, 2010. The numbers are daunting: A $3.8 trillion federal budget for next year, with a projected $1.3 trillion deficit on top of tax revenues of $2.5 trillion. The current fiscal year 2010 deficit is expected to reach $1.6 trillion.

Speaking during a town hall forum at Lorain County Community College in the working class suburb of Elyria, Obama said the reforms contained within the bill were needed to help slow rapid increases in health care costs and ensure that all Americans are covered.
